This is an announcement for any of you who might be in the Seattle/King County area who also want a cat!
Join the Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue for Catapalooza, the most-meowed-about event of the year, on August 8 & 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come visit with hundreds of kittens and cats of all types, from playful tabbies to snuggly Siamese, all available for on-the-spot adoptions to loving homes. Catapalooza is for kids and adults and will include:
Cat & Kitten Adoptions
Games, Activities and Prizes
Demonstrations on Cat First Aid and More
Advice on Cat Care and Health
Crafts for Kids
Face Painting
Along with the Seattle Humane Society, seven other local cat rescue organizations will participate, including Feral Care, Homeward Pet, King County Animal Control, MEOW, South County Cats, Purrfect Pals and Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue. There will be festive cat-centric activities for the whole family! "Cats have been great family members for about 4,000 years," said Brenda Barnette, chief executive officer for the Seattle Humane Society. "We've planned a day of fun so everyone can have fun learning why cats are so cool."
Catapalooza will be held at the Seattle Humane Society, located in Bellevue at 13212 SE Eastgate Way. For directions to the Seattle Humane Society, or for more information about the event, call (425) 641-0080 or visit us online at www.seattlehumane.org. Many thanks to our presenting sponsor, KOMO Newsradio.
